About Spartoo
Spartoo narrates the journey of three friends bound by their shared love for shoes and the online world. Boris, Paul, and Jérémie, recent graduates with aspirations of establishing a unique business, chose to delve into the realm of online shoe retail. In 2006, they initiated the project, naming their website Spartoo.com. The name draws inspiration from the uncomplicated leather sandals worn by the Spartans and the influential city of Sparta in ancient Greece. To infuse the venture with an essence of online success, they added the iconic double "O," a letter combination synonymous with triumph in the digital sphere—gOOgle, yahOO, kelkOO, wanadOO...
And thus, Spartoo was born on August 16, 2006. In 2009, Spartoo embraced international expansion, diversifying the website to accommodate various languages. Today, their call center comprises a team representing over 20 nationalities, with approximately sixty dedicated employees working tirelessly to ensure customer satisfaction from the company's headquarters in Grenoble.
The year 2015 marked a significant milestone for Spartoo as they opened their inaugural physical store. Subsequently, the network of physical stores has experienced substantial growth. The trio's enthusiasm, combined with the project's quality, has earned the trust and support of collaborators, investors, brands, and service providers, all eager participants in this extraordinary adventure.
